Review - Amazon: OverDoor Jewelry Organizer

Okay so my online orders finally started to trickle in this week and I'm going to try post everything up as soon as I can. Out of all the things I ordered this was the one I was most excited about. I've been going back and forth for a while now on weather I should order it or not since it was so pricy (it's about $60 on Amazon). When I finally set it up, I was glad I did.

It came packaged in a simple brown box and a single page instruction sheet. You get the option of either hanging it over the door or nailing it to a wall. I chose to just hang mine since tools don't tend to get along with me.

Before I got this, all my jewelry was just a tangled mess in my side table drawer. I had a bad habit of buying jewelry and only wearing it once before throwing it into the "box of no return". When looking at this online I wasn't sure if it would have enough space to fit everything, but it had more than enough space. If I knew better I would have gotten the smaller model for about half the price. I'll leave a link in the bottom for both of the organizers.
  • The "box of no return" was the reason I never actually wore bracelets before. I didn't realize I had so many till now. Hopefully I'll start wearing them again.
  • To remind myself that they're there, I hung the organizer inside my closet door.
  • One thing that was kind of annoying about this was that it's kind of difficult putting the backings on the earrings once you've hung them. I just threw all the backings of the hanging ones on the plate that sits on top of it. They've been staying in place quite well even with me slamming my closet door on my occasional late mornings.

This took HOURS to untangle. These aren't all my necklaces but I needed a break.
As a whole, I think this did it's job well. It has more than enough space for all my jewelry so I still have room to shop. Its also a great motivator if you're like me and often forget that you even own jewelry if you just put it inside your closet. The motivation factor was what sold this for me since it was turning into such a waste having jewelry I only wear a few times. I got spoiled growing up with the little $5 claires jewelry holders that I would plaster all over my room when I was younger. However, his was definitely a better exchange if I just don't think about the price.
  • I got the full size one (Amazon)
  • Here's the slightly smaller version too (Amazon)
